ARTIST CARD

Melbourne Festival invites practicing artists and other arts professionals to apply for an Artist Card in 2008.

Four years ago, Festival Artistic Director Kristy Edmunds initiated the Artist Card in acknowledgement that some of the most valuable research an artist can engage in for their own practice, is experiencing the work of their colleagues nationally and internationally. The Artist Card now stands as an annual tradition and an important artist service initiative of the Festival.

Designed for artists and arts professionals to get the most out of the Festival program, the Artist Card offers some of the best seats in the house at concession prices. Artist Card holders also receive priority access to the Artist Lounge, open day and night, with internet access, food and beverages. As many of you would know, the Lounge is also the central hub for meeting with colleagues and peers, local and international, between shows and well into the night.

While the card is FREE, numbers are limited, so be sure to alert your colleagues and collaborators and fill in the online application form as soon as possible. Click here for full details.
