SCHOOLS PROGRAM 2008

The Melbourne International Arts Festival Schools Program delivers the best possible connection between the educational journeys of Victoria's school students and the dynamic creativity of internationally regarded artists.

In 2008 Melbourne Festival celebrates transformation, whether aesthetic, spiritual or physical - with a number of artists exploring contemporary subject matter through dance, theatre, music and visual art in highly expressive and refined ways.

There are also a number of productions and concerts which explore and raise questions about contemporary notions of a classical canon - such as Oskaras Koršunovas's rambunctious pizzeria staging of Romeo and Juliet, and Eleventh Hour Theatre's stylish adaptation of Samuel Beckett's Endgame.
