Chunky Move
Black Marrow
Created by Erna Omarsdottir & Damien Jalet
Two of the brightest young stars of European dance team up with Melbourne's choreographic powerhouse Chunky Move for this highly anticipated new work
In a place where civilisation has not quite arrived, or has ceased to exist long ago, Black Marrow explores extremes and opposite states, looking for the more undefined aspects of human identity.
Erna Ómarsdóttir and Damien Jalet are part of the new generation of Europe’s highly physical and visceral choreographers. Together with an extraordinary group of Australian performers, Australian/Icelandic composer Ben Frost (Mortal Engine & Glow), Belgian artist Alexandra Mein and Melbourne Lighting Designer Niklas Pajanti, they have created a skilfully crafted work of electrifying potency.
Defined by its genre-defying productions, Chunky Move challenges and excites audiences in Australia and all around the world. Black Marrow promises to be no exception.
