UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
WORKSHOP PROGRAM - THEATRE
Melbourne International Arts Festival and British Council are proud to present a workshop led by acclaimed, international, creative artist, Tim Crouch.
"Tim Crouch confirms himself as a uniquely engaged collaborator with his audience’s imagination and thought processes."
Financial Times, 2007
Tim is a writer, performer and teacher who will direct and perform in two works in the 2008 Melbourne Festival – An Oak Tree and ENGLAND. The work of Tim Crouch is unusual in its attention to the audience. In An Oak Tree, the second actor is their representative, discovering the play at the same time as they do. In ENGLAND the audience is absolutely implicated into the action. The audience makes the theatre it gets: theatre practice is just a reflection of audience practice.
This workshop is designed for professional practitioners in acting/ theatre-making. Space is strictly limited and by invitation only.
